Portugal Map and Geography of Portugal
Portugal Map Portugal, on the western side of the Iberian Peninsula, is about 500km from north to south and only 200km across, in an almost perfect rectangle. Everything that doesn't border Spain is Atlantic coastline, and almost the entirety of this coastline consists of sandy beaches.

As a general rule, the country is more densely populated (and more touristy) in the South, with the Algarve, stretching across the southern tip of the country, being the epitome of this.
